Hevea Panda Teether Review

I was thrilled to receive my Hevea Panda Teether in the mail a few weeks ago!  Sophia is almost 23 months and cutting those nasty 2 year molars!  She was never a kid to have her hands in her mouth ... UNTIL now! :)  She has been gnawing on her finger for the past few weeks!  I got a good look and saw the 4 corners of all the 2 year molars!  Lucky for us ... right around the holidays, huh?

Thankfully, I found a 100% natural rubber teether, free of PVC, BPA, phthalates, and artificial colors!!  As many of you "green" mama's know, that is extremely hard to do!!  Since it is 100% natural rubber, it is biodegradable. Natural rubber can be broken down physically and/or chemically by microorganisms.

Panda Teether
The minute I handed the teether to Sophia, she stuck it in her mouth and started chewing on the ears with those back teeth!!  She must have chewed on it for at least 30 minutes and was a happy camper by the time she was done!! :)

After washing it, I tried it out ... I thought, chewing on rubber .... that has to taste nasty!!  I was shocked ... it didn't really have a taste at all, which is a major plus!  Also, you couldn't see any of our teeth marks!  One of the other nice things is that it is very hygienic with a one piece design so there are no joints, cracks, or edges!   It is made out of very soft material and is in an ergonomic shape!  It is quite soft and gentle against her face!

On the "green" side of things, it is sustainably produced, including recycled and biodegradable packaging materials!  Sustainable development is a pattern of resource use that aims to meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can also be met for future generations.  Hevea uses soy ink on their packaging. Soy ink is naturally low in VOCs and is made of a renewable resource, using less energy to produce than other inks, and its post-production waste is not hazardous.

InterestinglyHevea’s producer is required to invest a part of his profits in replanting rubber trees and research & development.  Also, in Denmark, they have a great cooperation with the World Wildlife Fund, WWF. They donate 10 DKK for each panda teether sold with a goal to expand this cooperation to other countries.

Wow, mom ... this really works!!
They also make 100% natural rubber pacifiers!  I will for sure be investing in one of those with the next baby!

Overall, I am very impressed with this teether!  I know it will come in handy over the next few years!! :)  I highly recommend any of their products!  They are of excellent quality and will last for a long time!  Plus, the customer service is EXCELLENT!!
