Bummas Review and Giveaway

Most of my close friends know how often we battle diaper rashes with Sophia!  I just seems liked when we get one to heal up, another springs forth!  We never had this problem until she started eating finger (aka real people) foods at 12 months.  From 12 months to 18 months, we struggled with chronic diarrhea and thus horrible rashes.  I think I have used everything under the sun for these rashes!!  It was almost like her stool burned her bottom!!

During the time I was battling chronic rashes, I did quite a bit of research on how to minimize diaper rashes in a child that is prone to them!  The first piece of advice was "have lots of air time" aka .... naked bum with no dipe! (Just follow them around with carpet cleaner! HA!)  The second piece of advice was to make sure their bum was completely dry before putting on the new diaper!  During quick diaper changes, this step can be overlooked b/c you take off their wet diaper, use a baby wipe, then immediately put on the new diaper!  Their precious skin is still moist/damp!  The moisture increases the risk of another rash!!

I know it sounds crazy and gross, but what a way to save $$ and the earth!!  (And Sophia's precious bum!)  Cloth wipes are a lot easier than they sound ... also, if you use a homemade wipe solution, you are sure to protect their bum!
